In this catalog into types and categories of animals embroidery designs. Designs with animals and birds are divided into two styles; natural (a realistic view of the most accurately transmitting the species of the animal) and cartoon -fiction  (more like the one you see on the screens of cinemas and TV.
To digitizing the original, natural kind of animal in machine embroidery, usually used many colors of threads, this embroidery is dense and requires using good stabilization materials. The animals colors are close to natural, usually not bright same as pastel. The exception is birds of exotic countries. By the type of stitches, this can be a fur and feathers imitating  with the parameters of random stitch lengths (+ -20-30% of the base length - usually stitch lenght 3-4 mm). In addition, the shadow effect is applied.
The Cartoon version of the animal designs can easily be limited to 2-3 thread colors. And then the choice is usually wide, and often used contrasting palettes. By the type of filling everything is simpler. The main background and contour (satin or stitch), in some cases it's a figured line.

Where to use animals embroidery designs.

The choice will depend on the slowness of the project and the tastes of the user. Decorate the summer jersey can be a simple design in 1-2 colors. A cushion made of dense fabric can be decorated with a complex composition of designs with animals and elements of nature. If you make a gift to your friend with a large African tiger, you can add a name or an inscription. If you decorate a Christmas towel with a cute kitten, you can add a memorable inscription or personal monogram. Embroidering a quilt is better to choose the same type or style matching projects. Before embroidering a complex design on the product, it is better to embroider it on a piece of fabric. This will allow you to check the quality of the digitizer and the matching of the stabilizer.

And of course at the end of the size and stitches limitation. The main size limitation is up to 4 x 4. This is standart hoop for embroidery industry. Unfortunately, such embroidery machines have become massive on the market. And greatly limit the imagination and the possibilities of their owner. Usually, such machines have a limit on the number of stitches. Consider this when buying designs by machine embroidery.
