when my cat was very ill [for about 5 days] he could barely move and he constantly urinated himself.
He's feeling better at present and he's going outside to pee, but he's still not grooming himself.
I live in republic of chile and pet wipes don't exist over here.
are babe wipes prophylactic? I don't want to give him a bath right now considering he's still rather weak and its to stressful, I'ld rather leave him alone.
Merely he smells actually bad.. so I thought cleaning him with infant wipes might help...
if you think its not safe, any other suggestions? I would like to clean him in the to the lowest degree stressful fashion possible.
he'southward fifteen and male.. I don't know if thats important..

A cloth soaked/moisture in warm (not hot) water should do likewise...

I have been worrying well-nigh this. Although Jack the Cat is a one true cat house, and a 100% inside cat, I think that cleaning his paws after a trip to the cat box might exist best. However, a true cat's sense of smell is and then intense that I am concerned almost the trauma of his own anxiety smelling of Baby Wipes (which smell both strong and awful).

Anyone thought about this?

You shouldn't need to make clean his anxiety, and I would exist very careful about doing anything that makes going to the litter box traumatic.

Well, Jack the Cat has the run of the house. He is pretty much walking on every surface, except maybe inside the sink bowls and the laundry machines. So, whatever is on his feet is on everything and every ane.

Standard protocol is to wash your surfaces like counters earlier preparing food. Wiping his feet won't accomplish much. He licks his feet to clean them, which puts bacteria on them as well. Just make certain you launder your hands and surface areas and you will be fine.

Uh, OK. Information technology hasn't been a trouble so far. But, but for the tape, Jack the Cat is wandering everywhere in a 12 room 5000+ sq. ft. business firm with four.v baths with three split up areas where food is served. He sleeps on pillows, clothes, furniture, etc. Then wiping down the areas he has visited isn't going to happen. He is pretty active. And then, following him around is not really an option.

Uh, OK. It hasn't been a trouble so far. But, simply for the record, Jack the True cat is wandering everywhere in a 12 room 5000+ sq. ft. business firm with four.5 baths with three dissever areas where nutrient is served. He sleeps on pillows, clothes, piece of furniture, etc. So wiping down the areas he has visited isn't going to happen. He is pretty agile. And so, following him around is non really an selection.

It's not about following him around. It'south well-nigh wiping off surfaces before you lot fix food on them and washing hands earlier you eat. In that location is no way to sanitize this situation fully, but you lot are correct that it is rarely an upshot. Follow normal food safety protocol and you volition be fine!

I employ a cloth soaked in warm (not hot) h2o one time or twice a week and hold it on Speedy's lesser to loosen upward anything stuck in that location.  I do not rub, but just hold the cloth at that place for as long as she will allow me.  This works well, but exist careful, sometimes it will bring out anal gland secretions which smell bad if they get on you.  I like the thought of plainly h2o, as I don't know how she would like the scented wipes.
